What you would pay, and what you would save.

Enter your monthly tracked revenue and how your customers pay. The calculator shows Orca's fee next to RevenueCat's and Adapty's, the store commission and processor fees you pay in every case, and what moving a slice of subscribers to web checkout is worth.

The web shift pays for Orca 5.1× over. Orca is what makes one entitlement work across the store and the web, so the move is one SDK call, not a second billing system.

Assumptions: one payment per subscriber per month at the average payment; processor fees at standard published rates; competitor figures exclude their add-ons (RevenueCat Growth Tools are another 1%).

03 · THE ARGUMENT

The 1% was never the big number. The 30% is.

Apple and Google keep 15–30% of every in-app subscription. Among the best-performing apps, 41% already take revenue on the web, against 1.3% of hobby apps. Orca is the layer that lets one entitlement work in the store and on the web, so moving subscribers is an SDK call rather than a second billing system.

AT $20K MTR

Move 10% to the web

$2,000 of store revenue becomes Stripe revenue: you stop paying $600 in commission and start paying about $120 in processing. Net saving around $480 a month, against an Orca fee of $75.

AT $80K MTR

Move 20% to the web

$16,000 moves: $4,800 of commission saved for about $950 of processing. Net saving around $3,850 a month, against an Orca fee of $375.

ANY SIZE

Direct Debit, anywhere

GoCardless Direct Debit costs 0.5% + $0.05 per payment and is available in the US, the UK, Europe and beyond. For annual plans it is the cheapest rail there is, and Orca treats it as just another store linked to the same entitlement.

Worked with all revenue in the stores, a 30% commission and a $9.99 average payment; the calculator above uses your own numbers. Web adoption figures from RevenueCat's State of Subscription Apps 2026.

05 · DEFINITIONS

Terms used on this page.

Monthly tracked revenue (MTR)
Gross subscription and one-time purchase revenue that Orca tracks across all your stores in a calendar month, in USD, before store commissions and processor fees. The same basis RevenueCat and Adapty use, so the numbers compare directly.
Orca fee
0.5% of MTR above $5,000. At $5,000 MTR or less the fee is $0. There is no minimum, no flat component, no add-on and no cap.
Migration credit
Teams that bulk-import existing customers and entitlements from another provider or a custom backend pay $0 for their first three months on Growth, whatever their MTR.
Store commission
Apple and Google keep a share of in-app purchase revenue (commonly 15% or 30% depending on program and tenure). Paid to the store, not to Orca. This is the cost that web and desktop checkout avoids.
Payment processing fee
Stripe charges 2.9% + 30¢ per card transaction and GoCardless 0.5% + $0.05 per Direct Debit payment (standard published rates; regional rates vary). Paid to the processor, not to Orca.
Competitor usage fee
RevenueCat charges 1% of MTR above $2,500 (Growth Tools another 1%); Adapty charges 1% of MTR above $5,000, with add-ons extra.

06 · QUESTIONS

Pricing questions.

Why a percentage and not a flat fee?
Because most apps never make much and a few grow fast. A flat fee either prices out the first group or leaves the second paying the same at $500K as at $6K. A rate that starts at zero and stays at half the market rate means you pay in proportion to what Orca is handling, and nothing before it matters.
Is there really no cap, minimum or add-on?
None. The fee is 0.5% of monthly tracked revenue above $5,000. MCP, experiments, analytics, webhooks, bulk import and every SDK are included. Scale accounts agree volume terms; nobody pays more than 0.5%.
What counts as monthly tracked revenue?
Gross subscription and one-time purchase revenue Orca tracks across all your stores in a calendar month, in USD, before store commissions and processor fees. It is the same basis RevenueCat and Adapty use, so the numbers compare directly.
How does the migration credit work?
Bulk-import your customers and entitlements from another provider or a custom backend and your first three months on Growth are $0, whatever your revenue. Store subscriptions stay with the store, so there is nothing to re-acquire; the credit covers the time it takes to cut over.
Does Orca charge per store or per app?
No. One rate on the revenue across your organization, whatever the number of apps or stores.
How is it billed?
Monthly in arrears by card via Stripe, on the previous month's tracked revenue.
Do store commissions or Stripe fees change with Orca?
No. Apple, Google, Stripe and GoCardless charge what they charge. The calculator shows them so they are not mistaken for Orca fees, and so you can see what moving subscribers to web checkout is worth.
